Touring, the ‘Wyoming Way’
This month long ‘traveling concert circus’ wound down this month after treating juke-joint crowds in Colorado, Montana, Idaho and Wyoming to a buoyant mix of music. The tour was brainstormed and organized by Seadar Rose, who shares singer-songwriter duties with her husband, Aaron Davis, in Screen Door Porch. Aiming to present a showcase of Wyoming roots music both inside and beyond the least populous state’s borders, she wrangled commitments from club owners.

It’s a relatively rare thing for Wyoming musicians to get attention outside their home state. WYOmericana Caravan brings Wyoming’s best to Snowbasin
Wyoming’s dusty and dramatic burgeoning music scene is taking over Snowbasin’s Earl’s Lodge as part of the Blues, Brews and BBQ concert series. Three of Wyoming’s finest bluesy rock ‘n’ roll, Americana and indie-folk bands are joining forces for the 2015 Wyomericana Caravan Tour. “…it’s such a novelty, whenever we play outside of the state people are so surprised by the fact that we’re from Wyoming.”

Eventually, Rose started brainstorming ways of calling attention to Wyoming-based music. This led to the first Caravan, which got positive feedback almost immediately.
“I think with the WYOmericana Caravan, it just showed that you don’t have to move out of the state or go to a different place to make it big or make it interesting. You know what? You can stay here and accomplish your dreams.”

The Caravan is once again off and running, fueled by the success of last year’s tour…the strength and heart of the Caravan is its cultivation of new talent in Wyoming’s roots rock scene.
